Summaries

Storyline

Marcel is an adorable, 1-inch-tall shell who ekes out a colorful existence with his grandmother, Connie, and their pet lint, Alan. Once part of a sprawling community of shells, they now live alone as the sole survivors of a mysterious tragedy. However, when a documentary filmmaker discovers them, the short film he posts online brings Marcel millions of passionate fans, as well as unprecedented dangers and a new hope of finding his long-lost family. Marcel, a googly-eyed, 1-inch-tall mollusc, and his only relative, wise grandmother Connie, live a peaceful, solitary life in a vacant house now used as an Airbnb. However, when young filmmaker Dean stumbles upon the minuscule pair, his fascination with documenting opens up a world of endless possibilities and friendship. As a result, this unexpected event prompts tiny Marcel to reevaluate his life. And as Marcel becomes famous, he realises what matters in life.
