Josh Brolin (birthname: Josh James Brolin) has had one of the more circuitous careers for any contemporary American film actor, initially burdened with a reputation as a poor actor, to a period when he considered quitting acting, to enjoying a resurgence from 2007 onward, including a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination in 2009.
