The Temple Theatre, located in the heart of downtown Saginaw, Michigan, is a beautifully restored historic venue and a cultural cornerstone of the Great Lakes Bay Region. Originally opened in 1927 and fully renovated in 2002, this 1,750-seat Neo-Classical theatre—affectionately known as the "Showplace of Northeastern Michigan"—hosts a wide array of programming, from concerts and live performances to cinema and educational events. It is home to the only remaining Barton Butterfield Special organ in its original condition and features stunning architectural details that reflect its grand origins. Among its signature offerings is the Saginaw Silver Screen series, launched in 2017, which brings classic films and interactive experiences to life on Michigan’s grandest stage. Operated by TempleArts, a nonprofit committed to providing outstanding and accessible cultural experiences, the theatre also serves as a community hub for weddings, private events, and arts education.
