Symphony Space is a vibrant multidisciplinary performing arts center located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan at 2537 Broadway, New York, NY. With its two main venues—the 760-seat Peter Jay Sharp Theatre and the 160-seat Leonard Nimoy Thalia—Symphony Space presents over 600 varied events annually, spanning film, literature, music, theater, dance, and family programming. Founded in 1978 by Isaiah Sheffer and Allan Miller, the center is rooted in the belief that the arts bring people together and foster connection across differences. Signature programs include the nationally broadcast Selected Shorts, the annual Wall to Wall music marathon, and Bloomsday on Broadway. Symphony Space also supports arts education through its Curriculum Arts Project in NYC public schools.
