Solomon Valley Cinema in Beloit, KS, is a community-built theater offering a welcoming and affordable moviegoing experience. Open Tuesday through Sunday, the cinema showcases two great films nightly in a modernized facility steeped in local history. Established in 1995 through the dedication of nearly 200 volunteers and countless donations, the cinema began as a grassroots effort led by the Mitchell County Foundation and driven by community spirit. Over the years, the theater has evolved with upgrades to digital sound and projection, including 3D capabilities, while maintaining its commitment to keeping movie nights accessible. With ticket prices still incredibly affordable—$6 for adults and $5 for children—Solomon Valley Cinema continues to be a proud symbol of community collaboration and entertainment.
