Sidewalk Cinema is a non-profit independent movie theater located in Birmingham, Alabama. It is situated in the heart of downtown Birmingham’s historic theatre district in the newly restored Pizitz Building. The cinema has two screens, a bar, concessions, and a multi-function room. The cinema is open from Thursday to Sunday, from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. They also offer rentals of their space for various events such as parties, meetings, private film screenings, and more.
The Sidewalk Cinema is also host to the Sidewalk Film Festival, an annual event festival showcasing independent films from around the world and attracting thousands of attendees every year. The week-long festival usually takes place in August.
