Shankweiler’s Drive-In is a single-screen outdoor movie theater located in Orefield, Pennsylvania. The theater was first opened in 1934 and is the oldest operating drive-in in the state and the second oldest drive-in in the entire U.S. It is open all year, showing movies on weekends in the cooler months and seven days per week during the summer season. A single admission gives patrons the opportunity to watch both movies in a double feature, when available. They play both mainstream Hollywood releases and retro classics.
