The Rangeley Friends of the Arts Lakeside Theater in downtown Rangeley, Maine, is a vibrant year-round cultural hub operated by the nonprofit Rangeley Friends of the Arts (RFA). Since 1968, RFA has been “Bringing the ARTS to Life!” through first-run movies, indie films, festivals, concerts, live theater, youth education programs, and rotating visual art exhibitions. Following years of performing in borrowed venues, the organization now calls the historic Lakeside Theater home—a fully renovated, accessible space with state-of-the-art technology, a full concession stand, and the region’s only auditorium of its kind within a 45-mile radius. The venue is available for private rentals and community events, and serves as a creative home for students, families, and visitors alike. Powered by volunteers and supported by generous donors, RFA is a cornerstone of the Rangeley Lakes Region, providing inspiration, education, and entertainment to the close-knit community.
