The Melba Theater, located on historic Main Street in Batesville, Arkansas, has a rich history. It was originally constructed as a mercantile store, and was later remodeled in Art Deco style, re-opneing in 1940. In the 1950's, it became Arkansas’ first theatre to feature Cinemascope technology! More recently, it underwent an extensive renovation in 2016, which elevated The Melba to one of the top theaters in the state of Arkansas. It features both Hollywood movies as well as live entertainment. Tickets for movie screenings are priced at an amazingly affordable $4, making the theater accessible to everyone in the community.
