Located in the heart of Main Street, across from the courthouse at 604 Courthouse Square, the Marion Theater has served as an important part of the community for many decades by providing much-needed social activity and entertainment to the area. The theater opened over 75 years ago and has changed hands several times during that period. Reopening in June 2012, the Marion has now been completely renovated and upgraded in a variety of ways, including new restrooms, new comfortable seating, new concessions equipment, and new digital projectors with 3D presentation capabilities.
