The Manlius Art Cinema is a classic movie house located in the village of Manlius, New York, in the greater Syracuse metropolitan area. It is the oldest continually operating cinema in New York State, having opened originally as the Strand Theatre on December 6, 1918. Its physical layout is a ‘shotgun’ style theatre, which was not uncommon in its day.
The cinema presents current Hollywood movies as well as classic films and occasional special events. The general admission ticket price for showtimes after 4:00 PM is $12.00 and $10.00 for matinees before 4:00 PM. The box office opens 30 minutes before posted showtimes, and accepts cash, credit, and Manlius Cinema gift cards.
