The Maine Film Center, located on the second floor of the Paul J. Schupf Art Center in Waterville, ME, is a nonprofit, three-screen independent cinema dedicated to bringing contemporary, independent, and classic films to central Maine. As part of Waterville Creates—alongside Ticonic Gallery + Studios and the Waterville Opera House—the center serves as a cultural hub, offering first-run screenings, engaging film series, and educational initiatives like the Maine Student Film + Video Festival. Each summer, it hosts the renowned Maine International Film Festival (MIFF), a 10-day event showcasing over 100 films from around the world.
