The Franklin Theatre is a cherished historic movie theatre and enttertainment destination located on Main Street in Franklin, Tennessee. It first opened its doors in the summer of 1937, was closed for four years starting in 2007 and then reopened in 2001 after having received an $8.5 million makeover. It's long history greatly contributes to its unique charm.
The theatre hosts a variety of events, from screenings of both current and classic movies to live performances from local and national talents including such famous singers as Sheryl Crow and Art Garfunkel. It offers an intimate listening experience for these events. It blends an authentic art deco design with state-of-the-art projection, sound and lighting.
