Storyline

After his father's sudden job loss shatters the stability of his working-class family, Russell Wade turns to the underground cannabis trade in search of opportunity. What begins as a means of survival evolves into a decades-long pursuit of a vision few others can see: transforming cannabis from an illegal commodity into a legitimate industry. Inspired by true events, The King of Cannabis chronicles Russell's rise as he builds one of the nation's most influential cannabis networks while navigating dangerous rival organizations, political corruption, international suppliers, and relentless federal investigations. As public opinion begins to shift, Russell positions himself years ahead of the market, believing legalization is not a question of if, but when. With his empire growing and federal authorities closing in, Russell must confront the personal cost of his ambition. Caught between protecting his family, preserving his freedom, and changing the course of history, he risks everything to help shape an industry that would transform America forever.
