Plot Summary

Hijacked (Vietnamese title Tử Chiến Trên Không) is a 2025 Vietnamese action thriller directed, co-written, and co-edited by Hàm Trần, inspired by real hijacking incidents that occurred in Vietnam after the fall of Saigon in the 1970s. Set almost entirely aboard a commercial flight, the film centres on a tense airborne crisis when a group of ruthless hijackers takes over the aircraft with dozens of innocent travellers in their grip. As the situation escalates, members of the flight crew, air marshals, and security forces work to outsmart the attackers and protect the passengers, leading to intense confrontations and high-stakes action sequences. The ensemble cast is led by Thái Hòa as Long (the hijackers’ leader), Kaity Nguyễn as flight attendant Từ Trinh, Thanh Sơn as air marshal Bình, Ma Ran Đô as Sơn, and Trâm Anh as Nhàn, among others.
