
Arkasha Stevenson is a Los Angeles-based filmmaker and former photojournalist who has made body horror themes a focus of her cinema storytelling. Stevenson has directed short films since 2010 during her studies at both the University of North Carolina and the American Film Institute’s directing program and has also directed episodes for various TV series.
Stevenson made her feature debut as director and co-writer (with Tim Smith and Keith Thomas) of the prequel, The First Omen (2024), co-starring Nell Tiger Free, Tawfeek Barhom, Sonia Braga, and Bill Nighy, and released by 20th Century Studios.
