Fun Facts
Igor Galijasevic fled Sarajevo in the ’90s; the filmmakers met him while shooting a metal-band doc. They wrote the role for him, then cast his actual two-year-old son Ivo as the on-screen child—so every bedtime lullaby you hear is 100 % authentic family audio.
Call-sheet rule #1: work only between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.—the kid’s nap corridor. If Ivo melted down, the sisters either rewrote the scene to use the crying or broke for milk & crackers. No AD ever had to wrangle a more powerful lead actor.
The trained bear decided—on take 3—to crawl toward Igor instead of standing. Cinematographer kept rolling; that eerie low-angle snarl made the final cut and became the one-sheet poster image. “Magic happens when you don’t force nature,” Marina laughs.
