Purdie Distribution is an independently-owned film distribution company known for releasing independent films nationwide. Established in 2009, Purdie Distribution led the distribution of SAINTS AND SOLDIERS: AIRBORNE CREED and THE VOID, THE SARATOV APPROACH, FREETOWN, MEET THE MORMONS, ONCE I WAS A BEEHIVE and is generally focused on films that elevate the human experience.
Founder Brandon Purdie played a key roll in the establishment of the family and faith-based film market with his previous work on the release of SAINTS AND SOLDIERS, THE WORK AND THE GLORY trilogy, and FOREVER STRONG.
The company’s Co-Presidents are twin brothers, Adam and Donovan Montierth come from a very strong background in theatrical distribution and marketing. Donovan has worked in the Online Marketing field for over 20 years working in the areas of web page and domain monetization, SEO, SEM, website & blog management, social media & ad campaigns, and lead generation & conversion with top online companies such as Google, Go Daddy, The Rainmaker Institute, and Lawyer.com. He has produced special events for best selling authors JA Jance, Diane Gabaldon, and James McEachin.
Adam started his career at the largest theatre chain in the Southwest. For over 15 years Adam worked with movie distribution for major movie theater chains and distributors. He was instrumental in opening several huge multi-plex theatres in new regions, worked as a liaison during special screenings, and won many accolades in marketing and management. During this time, he was instrumental in personally facilitating visits by Academy Award winners Tom Hanks and Jodie Foster, as well as the cast of Wolverine, Tom Cruise, Bruce Campbell, Greg Kinnear, the Wayans Bros and directors, Tony and Ridley Scott, Randall Wallace, Kevin Smith and Garry Marshall.
The twins know the independent film production world well. In 2004, they opened Brothers Ink Productions and would go on to win awards, including Emmy Awards for their first film, Reveille. The Brothers first feature film, Locker 13 with Ricky Schroder, Krista Allen, Jon Polito, Curtis Armstrong and Rick Hoffman was released to theaters in 2014. They started to branch out and produce live comedy events that would feature shows with Sean Astin, Dick Van Dyke, The Truth Bomb Mom, The Girls With Glasses, Lindsay Stirling, Pat Finn, and the original cast of Studio C, JK Studios. They produced 2 episodes of Jester’Z Live with Matt Meese and Whitney Call and produced the Glow Up Tour for JK Studios in 2019.
Their romantic comedy, family holiday film, Funny Thing About Love with Jon Heder, Pat Finn, Summer Bellessa, Barry Corbin and Brooke White was released for the holidays in 2021 and the Robert Mac: Mac to School Stand Up Special was released in 2022. As comedy goes, Brothers Ink will be releasing the sketch comedy western movie, Go West with the original cast of Studio C, JK! Studios, to theatres this summer, July 2023 and to streaming Dec 2023.
They opened up Canada this fall for the first time in the company’s history by opening Miracle in East Texas, Directed and starring Kevin Sorbo, Academy Award winner Louis Gosset Jr and John Ratzenbeger to theatres in 4 provinces nationwide. This will provide further reach and profits for the future as their relationships develop in providing a completed picture in North American Theatrical Distribution moving forward.
