Two families live either side of a fence in an American suburb. One holds a passport, the other has been waiting more than a decade for an asylum decision that never comes. Across a year, both households work out what being a neighbour actually requires of them. A musical about immigration, proximity and the distance between a stated value and a daily practice.

Brotherhood: A Cinematic Musical is a 2026 American musical drama written, directed and scored by Ross Boothe, from an original screenplay rather than a stage show. Jon (Casey Elliott), a United States citizen, and Fabián (Mauricio Martínez), a Mexican immigrant more than a decade into a holding pattern awaiting his asylum decision, live next door to one another, and the film follows both families through 2025 and 2026 as they reconsider what it means to be American and to love a neighbour.
Gabriela Bañuelos plays Nubia and Charlotte Hemmings plays Cami, with Paulina Reyes as Sofia, Oakley Thacker as Landon, Cody Bobay as Scott, Alex Melecio as Edgardo, Liam Smith as Cohen and Mylah Montes as Delia. Boothe is the sole credited songwriter across the score, with the lead single "Two Worlds Next Door" a duet for Martínez and Elliott. Craftsman Films produced as the debut release of its Producer Fund I, shot entirely on location across Utah in April and May 2026 with Utah Film Commission support, on a budget of around two million dollars.
A 21 stop "Love Your Neighbor Tour" ran from Provo on 29 August through 1 October, ahead of a limited release on 9 October 2026. Runtime around two hours, not rated. For audiences who want the immigration debate sung rather than argued.
