Bargatze graduated to the big screen as star/co-writer/producer of The Breadwinner (2026), co-starring Mandy Moore, Will Forte, Colin Jost, Kumail Nanjiani, Zach Cherry, Kate Berlant, and Martin Herlihy under Eric Appel’s direction, produced by TriStar Pictures/Wonder Project, and released wide by Sony Pictures Releasing.
Nate Bargatze was born and raised in Nashville, Tennessee, by his parents, Stephen (professional clown and magician, motivational speaker, and history teacher) and Carol (ticket office attendant). Bargatze has two siblings. Bargatze attended DuPont Elementary School and transferred in the fifth grade to Donelson Christian Academy, where he was on the track and field squad, and graduated in 1997. Bargatze then attended and dropped out of Western Kentucky University. Bargatze has been married to Laura Blair since 2006; the couple has one daughter, Harper.
