The Uptown Theater is a movie theater and concert venue in Providence, Rhode Island at 270 Broadway. The building was designed and built by realtor Domenic Annotti in 1926, in the style of a 19th-century Italianate palace. Until recently, it operated as the Columbus Theatre, a well-known and beloved venue in Providence's Broadway/Armory Historic District. It features two auditoriums, the "small theatre" upstairs with seating for 200 and the "large theatre" downstairs which seats 800.
