The Cinema Art Theater, operated by the nonprofit Rehoboth Beach Film Society, is a premier year-round venue in Lewes showcasing independent, international, and documentary films along with live broadcasts of world-class opera, theater, and art exhibitions. As Sussex County’s only dedicated art house cinema, it features two screens, including a 104-seat main theater with Dolby 7.1 surround sound, and serves as the home of the celebrated Rehoboth Beach Independent Film Festival. Beyond regular programming, the Cinema Art Theater hosts mini-festivals, filmmaker talks, and special cultural events that enrich the community and attract audiences from across the Mid-Atlantic.
