Catamount Arts, founded in 1975, is a cornerstone of cultural and community life in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom. Located at 115 Eastern Avenue in St. Johnsbury, Catamount operates as a dynamic regional arts center presenting independent, foreign, and acclaimed films in two state-of-the-art movie theaters, along with a varied slate of music, theater, dance, and visual arts programming. Its mission is to enhance the cultural and economic vitality of the region by making the arts accessible and community-centered. Housed in the historic Masonic Temple, Catamount offers educational opportunities, gallery exhibitions, and extensive arts programming that reaches schools and communities across northern Vermont and New Hampshire.
