In 1930, with the advent of talking pictures, the venue was renamed the Astor Theatre after Seth Bartling Sr.’s favorite theater in New York. Today, the Astor Theatre continues to serve as a vibrant hub for the arts, offering a diverse array of live performances, concerts, and current films. The theater is part of the Town Hall Arts and Cultural Centre (THACC), which also houses a gallery, meeting space, and volunteer office. The THACC is located at the front of the building that houses the Astor Theatre.
