Stage 6 Films, a Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) Motion Picture Group production label, acquires and produces independently developed feature films of all genres and budgets. Founded in 2007, Stage 6 Films is the theatrical label for Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions and is used in association with other SPE Motion Picture Group labels, including Columbia Pictures, TriStar Pictures, Screen Gems, and Sony Pictures Classics.
The label has invested in critically and audience acclaimed films such as DUMB MONEY, MISSING, A MAN CALLED OTTO, SISU, ARRIVAL as well as the DON’T BREATHE and INSIDIOUS franchises. Stage 6 Films believes in diverse storytelling and has garnered over 2000 nominations across notable award ceremonies, winning over 850 awards including the Academy Award® Best Picture for SPOTLIGHT.
