Plot Summary
- Stab franchise has had 7 movies released by now. Stab 6 had 2 women Trudie (Shenae Grimes) and Sherrie (Lucy Hale) murdered by 2 Ghostfaces working in tandem.Rachel (Anna Paquin) and Chloe (Kristen Bell) are 2 women watching Stab 6 on TV, when Rachel stabs Chloe for calling the movies predictable and without having any element of surprise, including the opening sequences. Turns out this was a plot of the movie Stab 7, which is being watched by 2 girls Jenny and Marnie.Jenny and Marnie live in Woodsboro and discuss that the first 3 Stab movies were based on the events at Woodsboro, but then Sidney sued the franchise and post that they just made stuff up. Stab 5 even had time travel. On the night of the fifteenth anniversary of the Woodsboro Massacre, high school students Jenny Randall (Aimee Teegarden) and Marnie Cooper (Britt Robertson) are attacked and brutally murdered in their home by a new Ghostface. Jenny tried to escape through the garage door, but Ghostface rammed the garage door again and again into her spine, killing her.The following day, Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) returns to Woodsboro to promote her new book with her publicist Rebecca Walters (Alison Brie). After evidence is found in Sidney's rental car, Sidney becomes a suspect in the murders and must stay in town until the murders are solved. Sidney's teenage cousin, Jill (Emma Roberts), who is dealing with the betrayal of her ex-boyfriend, Trevor Sheldon (Nico Tortorella), gets a threatening phone call from Ghostface.Jill and her friends Olivia Morris (Marielle Jaffe) and Kirby Reed (Hayden Panettiere) are questioned about their calls by Dewey Riley (David Arquette), who is now the sheriff of the town, with assistance from Judy Hicks (Marley Shelton).Meanwhile, Gale Weathers (Courteney Cox), who is now married to Dewey, is struggling with writer's block. She decides that the new Ghostface murders could revamp her career and begins delving into the case, despite Dewey's protests.Sidney stays with Jill and her aunt Kate Roberts (Mary McDonnell) while in Woodsboro. Later that night, Olivia, who lives next door to Jill, is attacked and killed by Ghostface as Jill and Kirby watch in horror through Jill's bedroom window. Sidney and Jill rush to the house, but the killer attacks and injures them until Ghostface is forced to flee when cops Anthony Perkins (Anthony Anderson) and Ross Hoss (Adam Brody) arrive. Both are taken to the hospital. At the hospital, Sidney fires Rebecca after learning of her desire to exploit the murders to increase book sales. Later that night in the hospital's parking garage, Ghostface murders Rebecca. Gale enlists the help of two high school movie fanatics, Charlie Walker (Rory Culkin) and Robbie Mercer (Erik Knudsen), who explain that the killer is following the rules of movie remakes to plan the murders.Gale and Sidney conclude that the killer will likely strike at the "Stab-a-Thon", a screening party held in a barn where teenagers gather to binge watch all seven installments of the Stab franchise. Gale goes to the party to investigate and is stabbed in the shoulder by Ghostface before Dewey arrives and he takes her to the hospital. Hoss and Perkins, who were assigned to guard Jill's house, discover a window to be empty and are both murdered by Ghostface.Kate, meanwhile, arrives home as Sidney receives a phone call threatening to murder Jill, prompting the two to attempt to save her, as Jill does not answer her phone. It is then revealed that Jill is not at home, but at Kirby's place for an 'after-party'. Ghostface is revealed to be outside of the house and stabs Kate in the back through the front door's mail slot, killing her. Sidney then runs into a suspicious Judy while escaping from the house and heads to Kirby's house to save Jill.Ghostface appears at the party and kills a drunken Robbie soon before Sidney arrives at the house. During a confrontation with Ghostface, Sidney instructs Jill to hide under a bed upstairs, while she narrowly escapes Ghostface. Kirby is forced to answer horror movie trivia to save Charlie, who is tied up outside. After she answers Ghostface's questions, she goes outside to untie Charlie, believing that she has won the game. Charlie suddenly stabs her in the stomach and reveals himself as the Ghostface killer, leaving her for dead.Sidney is confronted by Charlie and a second Ghostface, who is revealed as Jill. She admits to masterminding the murders out of jealousy from the fame that Sidney received for surviving the previous killing sprees and desires to achieve clout as a pseudo-victim of the murders, intending to frame Trevor as Ghostface.Jill then pulls Trevor, her ex-boyfriend, out of a closet and shoots him in the groin for his previous betrayal of their relationship, and then in the head. Jill betrays Charlie by stabbing him, intending to pin him as Trevor's accomplice. Jill then stabs Sidney in the stomach, leaving her for dead. She then trashes the house and mutilates herself in order to stage the scene. Dewey, Judy, and the rest of the police then stumble upon the carnage.Sidney and Jill are rushed to the hospital. Dewey visits Jill and tells her that Sidney and Gale are actually still alive. Jill offhandedly remarks that she and Gale would make a good book-writing pair because of their matching wounds.Once Dewey leaves, Jill makes her way to Sidney's room to finish her off and badly injures her. Visiting Gale in her room, Dewey suddenly realizes that Jill's bizarre knowledge of her and Gale's "matching wounds" implicates her in the murders. He finds her in Sidney's room, is knocked out by Jill, and is quickly pursued by Gale and Judy. Jill shoots Judy, incapacitating her. Just as Jill is about to shoot Gale, Sidney shocks Jill with a defibrillator and then shoots her in the chest, finally killing her.It is revealed that Judy was wearing a bulletproof vest and is uninjured. Dewey calls in the police, as media reporters outside confirm Jill as a survivor and a "hero, right out of the movies."

There she reconnects with Sheriff Dewey and Gale, who are now married, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney's appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney, Gale, and Dewey, along with Jill, her friends, and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger. — Joey Sidney Prescott returns home to Woodsboro on her last book tour stop. But, when she arrives, everything is not all great reuniting with Gale and Dewey as Ghostface lurks in town as well. When Sidney's cousin Jill's life is threatened, and her friends are being picked off one by one, Sidney, Gale and Dewey need to figure out who's reinventing the deadly game before it becomes too late. — Kris Hopson After 10 years, Sidney Prescott returns to Woodsboro for her book tour "OUT OF DARKNESS" a self help book about life before and after the murders, Dewey is now Sheriff of the town with Deputy Judy Hicks. Since the year 2000 when the murders ended in Hollywood Gale has got writers block as Woodsboro has become boring. Sidney also reconnects with her cousin, Jill and her aunt Kate. But Sidney's appearance also brings back the ghost of her past. — Liam Jacobs Fifteen years after the original Woodsboro murders, Sidney Prescott returns to her hometown on a book tour, only to find herself once again targeted by a Ghostface killer. As new and old friends are drawn into the chaos, the killings mimic horror movie tropes from a new generation obsessed with fame and media. With police and survivors racing to uncover the killer's identity, the film reinvents the slasher formula while satirizing modern horror culture, legacy, and the cyclical nature of violence. — chera_khalid
