Summaries

Plot Summary

Kim Dokja, an unremarkable office worker with an obsession for the obscure webnovel Three Ways to Survive in a Ruined World, is suddenly thrown into the apocalyptic universe of the novel. This brutal world, teetering on the edge of total destruction, is overrun by monstrous threats and perilous scenarios. Kim's only edge is his deep understanding of the novel's intricate plot and hidden secrets.Struggling to survive, Kim forms an uneasy alliance with Yoo Joonghyuk, the novel's powerful hero whose fate Kim knows all too well. To escape the novel's nightmarish world, they must rewrite the story's ending and challenge the cosmic force known as the "Star Stream," which feeds on their suffering. As they face deadly trials and unearth dark conspiracies, they gather a diverse team of allies, each with their own strengths and struggles.Kim's appearance-a thin face, pale skin, and a slender build-belies his growing strength and resilience. His journey is marred by burn scars and the haunting number "6424" etched into his forearm, remnants of his grim past. Despite being described as "unappealing," Kim's unique presence and distinctive, often unlucky smile become a source of hope for his companions.Every step of their journey is fraught with danger as Kim and Yoo Joonghyuk battle against the relentless forces of chaos. Their survival hinges on Kim's intimate knowledge of the novel and their ability to outmaneuver their enemies. With the fate of their world hanging in the balance, every decision could be their last. Will Kim's understanding of the story be enough to change their destiny, or will they fall prey to the dark forces that seek to destroy them?
