Founded by Philip Tanner May in Wainwright, Alberta, he originally started with the Elite Theatre. From there the company grew and is now run by Colin May, whose children Noel and Sydney May also work for the company, becoming the fourth generation to do so.</p><p>The company offers in-person and online gift cards to be used throughout their theatres, as well as advertisements from smaller companies. With an advertisement form on their website, small business owners can apply for an ad to play before movies, prioritizing the community over large corporate ads.</p>
