Shane Jensen is the rare creator in the film world with the multi-hyphenate of actor/director/writer/producer/editor, debuting in a supporting role in John Gloster’s comedy-drama, A Day in the Lifeless (2011), and then launching his filmmaking career in 2012 with a string of short films (in which he also sometimes appeared as an actor, or for which he was actor or editor only).
Jensen took his first feature lead role in director/writer/producer Ben Leonberg’s supernatural horror movie, Good Boy (2025), playing co-lead to Leonberg’s own dog named Indy, with supporting actors Arielle Friedman and Larry Fessenden, and which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival before a wide release by Independent Film Company (formerly IFC).
Jensen was lead actor/director/co-writer/executive producer/co-editor of his Minnesota-set debut feature, The Way the Crow Flies (2025), with Rohan Kymal, Brandon McShane, Chloe Sanders, and Tyler McClain (who also co-wrote and executive produced).
