Considered one of the more promising among current child actors, Ryan Kiera Armstrong (birthname: Ryan Kiera Armstrong) has already acted—at the age of 12-- in 11 feature films, three TV series (including a much-discussed turn as a violin prodigy in American Horror Story: Red Tide (2021)) and three short films. This range of experience has allowed her to work with director Julie Taymor and Cate Shortland and actors Nicolas Cage, Chris Pratt, Scarlett Johansson, Julianne Moore, Kevin Costner, J.K. Simmons, Alicia Vikander, Timothy Hutton, Bill Skarsgård, Amanda Seyfried, Milo Ventimiglia, and Betty Gilpin.
Armstrong appeared as one of the children in It Chapter Two (2019), with Bill Skarsgård, and continued her dive into Stephen King's territory as the title character in the 2022 version of King’s Firestarter, played by Drew Barrymore in the 1984 film.
