Ramsey (birth: Richard Lee Ramsey) is a filmmaker who has directed, written, edited, and/or produced movies with Christian themes since 2006, when he was director/writer/editor/executive producer of the low-budget ($30,000) mid-length feature, The Oath of Desormeau (2006), with David Attebury and Erin Arnold.
Ramsey made 14 short films from 2007 to 2024, and then during this period was writer/director and co-editor of the country music-set marital drama inspired by the Biblical Song of Solomon, The Song (2014), with Alan Powell and Ali Faulkner, and which was released by Samuel Goldwyn Films.
Ramsey was co-director/co-writer (with Joel Smallbone) of the biopic drama about Smallbone’s family, Unsung Hero (2024), starring Daisy Betts, released in the wide pattern by Lionsgate.
