
Mercedes Bryce Morgan is a director/writer/producer who has worked in episodic series, music videos, short films and feature films, which began with her directing/writing debut, the U.S./Canada/Germany co-production, Fixation (2023), co-written by William Day Frank and co-starring Maddie Hasson and Atticus Mitchell, and which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival.
Morgan directed her second feature, Spoonful of Sugar (2023), which premiered at Fantastic Fest but bypassed theatrical for streaming release on Shudder, and then Morgan was director of the horror-thriller, Bone Lake (2024), again starring Hasson, with Marco Pigossi, Alex Rose and Andra Nechita, released wide by Bleecker Street in 2025 after premiering at Fantastic Fest in 2024.
Mercedes Bryce Morgan was born and raised in the United States by her parents. Morgan studied Film and Television Production at the USC School of Cinematic Arts and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Screenwriting Accolades: Mercedes Bryce Morgan made the Tracking Board/Launch Pad 2017 Hit List with her screenplay, B1, and was also the runner-up in the 2018 Script Pipeline Competition as well as BET’s Project Create. Morgan was both a 2022 Script Pipeline finalist and a Nicholl Fellowship finalist for her screenplay, ESC.
