Marco Pigossi (birth name: Marco Fabio Maldonado Pigossi) has been a popular actor in widely watched telenovelas created for Brazil’s dominant TV Globo, as well as in series produced via Netflix and Prime Video, and a busy actor on the São Paolo stage. Pigossi appeared in his feature film debut in director/writer Paulo Thiago’s biopic, A Ultima Chance (2017), followed by his first feature starring role in director/co-writer Henrique Goldman’s crime biopic, O Nome da Morte (2017), with Fabiula Nascimento, Andre Mattos, and Matheus Nachtergaele, and premiering in the Rio de Janeiro Film Festival.
Pigossi starred in his first Portuguese-English-language U.S. production, director/writer/producer Marco Calvani’s queer drama set in Cape Cod, High Tide (2024), with James Bland, Marisa Tomei, and Bill Irwin, and released by Strand Releasing after launching at the South by Southwest Film Festival. Pigossi co-starred in the American horror-thriller, Bone Lake (2024), with Maddie Hasson, Alex Roe, and Andra Nechita under Mercedes Bryce Morgan, premiering in 2024 at the Fantastic Fest before a 2025 wide release by Bleecker Street.
Marco Pigossi reunited with lead Marisa Tomei in director/co-writer/producer Ann Marie Allison’s Los Angeles-set comedy, You’re Dating a Narcissist! (date to be announced), With Sherry Cola and Ciara Bravo, produced by The Wonder Company/Cool Girl Productions/Altered L.A., and then Pigossi co-starred with Isis Valverde and Andre Ramiro in the provisionally titled Brazilian-made Panic Room Brazilian Remake (date to be announced), directed by Gabriela Amaral.
Pigossi then joined independent filmmaker Gabe Klinger for the Brazilian/Chilean/French co-production set in São Paolo (and with Portuguese and Japanese dialogue), Okonomiyaki (date to be announced), with Leandra Leal and Yuki Sugimoto.
Marco Pigossi was born and raised in São Paolo by his parents, Oswaldo and Mariness. Pigossi graduated from Anhembi Morumbi University in São Paolo, with a degree in Radio and Television. Pigossi moved from São Paolo to Los Angeles in 2018 and came out as gay in 2021. Pigossi has been married to Italian playwright/director/filmmaker/actor Marco Calvani since 2023. Pigossi’s height is 5’ 10¾”.
