Kyle Hausmann-Stokes is an American-born director/screenwriter/producer who has made eight shorts since 2009 (for such producers as Google, IBM, the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, the U.S. Air Force, and UPS), and then stepped up to feature filmmaking as director/producer/co-writer (with A.J. Bermudez and with story co-writer Cherish Chen) with the semi-autobiographical comedy-drama, My Dead Friend Zoe (2024), starring Sonequa Martin-Green, Natalie Morales, Gloria Reuben, Morgan Freeman and Ed Harris, and which premiered in the South by Southwest Film Festival before a release by Briarcliff Entertainment.
Kyle Hausmann-Stokes was born and raised by his parents in Madison, Wisconsin. He attended and graduated from the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts and is married to director/photographer Audrey Ma.
