Ginger Minj (birthname: Joshua Allen Eads) is an acclaimed drag queen performer best known for her participation in several seasonal contests on the popular RuPaul’s Drag Race reality game show, and made her feature film debut in director/writer/producer Autumn McAlpin’s indie comedy, Miss Arizona (2018), with Johanna Braddy, Kyle Howard, Missy Pyle and Steve Guttenberg and which was released by Cinedigm Entertainment Group.
Minj appeared as herself or in roles in a string of documentaries and comedies which aired on streaming, including her first appearance in a studio-backed movie, Disney+’s streaming sequel Hocus Pocus 2 (2022), co-starring Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy under Anne Fletcher’s direction.
Minj joined the cast of Canadian director/writer/producer Nick Butler’s comedy-drama, The Legacy of Cloudy Falls (2024), co-starring Grace Glowicki and Andrew Moodie, and which screened at various Canadian film festivals. Minj then had her first big-screen lead role in director-producer Adam Shankman’s action-comedy Stop! That! Train! (2026), co-starring Jujubee, Brooke Lynn Hytes, Latrice Royale, Marty Lauter, Monet X Change, Symone, RuPaul Charles, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Nicole Richie, Raven-Symone, Michelle Visage, Chris Parnell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Charo, Joel McHale, Missi Pyle and Jerry O’Connell, produced by World of Wonder/Unapologetic Projects, and which was released wide by Bleecker Street (U.S.-Canada)/Universal Pictures (International) after premiering at the Newfest film festival.
Ginger Minj was born and raised in Leesburg, Florida by her parents, who are of Puerto Rican and Irish heritage. Minj’s father abandoned his family after she was born. Minj has one sister. Minj’s drag mother is retired drag queen Rusty Fawcett, and drag father is pageant promoter Bob Taylor. Minj was married to Ceejay Russell in 2017 but has been in a polyamorous throuple since at least 2026.
