Gavin Polone

Gavin Polone is one of the few major talent agents of his generation to successfully transition to film production as both a producer and director. Polone was one of the star agents of the ICM agency in the 1980s and then a partner with UTA in the 1990s, until he was fired in a highly publicized episode involving a flurry of lawsuits, and made a comeback in his show business career as a producer.
Polone began his producing career in 1999 with three consecutive features: the Nicolas Cage-starring 8mm, Drop Dead Gorgeous, and David Koepp’s directorial debut, Stir of Echoes, starring Kevin Bacon. Polone’s subsequent producer credits include the David Fincher-directed Panic Room (2002), director/writer Koepp’s Secret Window (2004), director/co-writer Wallace Wolodarsky’s Seeing Other People (2004), Little Manhattan (2005), director Ivan Reitman’s My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006), Primeval (2007), director/writer Koepp’s Ghost Town (2008), Zombieland (2009), director/co-writer Koepp’s Premium Rush (2012), the animated adult comedy Nerdland (2016), A Dog’s Purpose (2017), A Dog’s Way Home (2019), the sequel Zombieland: Double Tap (2019) and the Koepp-written and produced horror comedy Cold Storage (2026).
Gavin Polone made his theatrical debut as a director only of the horror-thriller, Psycho Killer (2026), written by Andrew Kevin Walker, co-starring James Preston Rogers, Malcolm McDowell, Logan Miller and Grace Dove, produced by Regency Enterprises/New Regency/Constantin Film/Vertigo Entertainment, and which was released wide by 20th Century Studios (U.S.)/Constantin Film (Germany).
