Drew Hancock began his career as a director, writer, and actor in 2004 in various TV series and short films, and later was writer/story editor of the Warner Bros. TV series, Suburgatory (2011), and was later co-creator/writer of the supernatural rom-com series, My Dead Ex (2018), which premiered at the South by Southwest Film Festival.
Hancock made his feature film debut as director/writer of the $10 million-budgeted dark comic thriller, Companion (2025), co-starring Sophie Thatcher, Jack Quaid, Lukas Gage, Megan Suri, Harvey Guillen, Rupert Friend, Marc Menchaca and Jaboukie Young-White, and with lead producer Zach Cregger via New Line Cinema/Vertigo Entertainment/BoulderLight Pictures and released by Warner Bros.
Drew Hancock was born in the United States and was raised by his parents.
