Amie Donald is a young dancer-actor who first appeared as Maya Monkey in Netflix’s series Sweet Tooth (2021), and was then cast in her first big-screen role as the titular killer doll, M3GAN (2022), the hit horror movie starring Jenna Davis (as the voice of M3GAN), Allison Williams, Violet McGraw and Ronny Chieng under Gerard Johnstone’s direction, and which grossed a knockout $182 million (on a $12 million budget) for Universal Pictures.
Donald resumed her killer role in Universal’s sequel, M3GAN 2.0 (2025), with returning cast members Davis, Williams, and McGraw and new castmates Ivanna Sakhno, Aristotle Athari, Timm Sharp, and Jemaine Clement, and for which director Johnstone expanded his roles as screenwriter and story writer.
Amie Donald was born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand by her parents. Donald has one brother, named Campbell. Donald has trained and performs with the Norris Dance Studio in the Auckland suburb of Papakura. Donald’s height is 5’ 3”.
