Dr. Alicia Oberle Farmer is an international award-winning film director/producer and is known for her work on Rite of the Shaman (2022), Algea: God of Pain (2022), City of Salt (2020), and The Witch of Wander Lane (2023). She is from Salt Lake City, UT and has a PhD in Education. She has been in the entertainment industry since she was 11-years-old, starting as a cover model before discovering the film industry.Alicia grew up in Salt Lake City, UT, and has been an artist all of her life. Winning many different awards from an early age, including a Daughters of the American Revolution Citizenship Award when she was only 12, she strived for lifelong learning and a passion for helping others. During this time, she also began modeling and got her first taste for the entertainment industry.During Alicia's adolescent years, she became a teen mother at the age of 15. After escaping an abusive relationship and struggling as a single teen mom, Alicia decided to continue her quest for learning and went back to school to set an example for her children. She graduated with a BA in English in 2011 (Westminster College), a Master of Education in 2013 (Westminster College), and a PhD in Education: Learning, Instruction and Innovation in 2018 (Walden University).In 2016 Alicia founded her film production company Zepstone Media. As a whole, Zepstone has earned over 50 international awards and has released short and feature-length movies worldwide.
