Jodie Comer was born and raised in Liverpool, England, by her parents Donna (commuter rail network employee) and James (physiotherapist for Everton FC football club) Comer. Jodie Comer has a younger brother, Charlie. Comer attended St. Julie’s Catholic High School, but even before this period, Comer was studying theater at the Liverpool-based weekend drama school, CALS, and won a competitive monologue performance. Comer never attended university since she was connected by her school’s drama teacher with a (successful) opportunity to audition and perform on a BBC Radio 4 play, launching her acting career at age 14.
