In June of 2022, The Charlotte Film Society expanded its vision and opened The Independent Picture House. This community art house cinema is dedicated to screening independent, foreign, and local films. The non-profit also manages the Charlotte Film Festival, Charlotte’s premiere annual film festival. Together, the cinema and festival bring the most innovative independent cinema to the cinephiles of Charlotte.
