The SPEC du Haut-Richelieu is a non-profit organization based in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, dedicated to promoting performing arts. Since its founding in 1989, it has offered a diverse and rich program, featuring comedy, music, theater, dance, circus performances, storytelling, film screenings, and shows for young audiences. Each year, SPEC presents over 300 performances, attracting approximately 175,000 spectators. Events take place in various venues across the region, including Théâtre des Deux Rives, Cabaret-Théâtre du Vieux-Saint-Jean, Pôle culturel de Chambly, and 164 Lounge. In addition to its cultural programming, SPEC also manages l’Entracte magazine, distributed to over 55,000 households in the Haut-Richelieu area, serving as a platform for local cultural events.
