Real Art Ways is an independent cinema and alternative multidisciplinary arts organization located in Hartford, Connecticut. They present and support contemporary artists and independent films. The cinema is situated in a former typewriter factory in the Parkville neighborhood, just minutes from downtown Hartford. The screening room shows recent independent American and imported films of unique merit, often lesser-known works that don’t make it into the general art-house circuit. They also show selected revivals and directorial series.
Beginning in January 2026, the theatre has closed temporarily for construction to expand from a single-screen to a four-screen movie house. Stay tuned for re-opening announcements.
