4 Screens, 430 Seats
34 W. 13th Street, New York, NY 10011, USA
The Quad Cinema is a four-screen movie theater located in Greenwich Village, New York City. It was established in 1972 and is one of the oldest independent theaters in the city. The cinema was closed for renovation in May 2015 and reopened on April 7, 2017. These renovations have created spectacular theater spaces offering the intimacy and luxury of a high-end private screening room, each with a unique look and color scheme: a refined setting typically seen in European cinémathèques, but rare in New York City.
In the theaters: 4K Christies and Barcos and 35mm and 16mm projectors, state-of-the-art sound, and seats imported from Norway. In the lobby: 32 flat screens forming a twelve by six-foot video wall and a 50-foot concession stand. The Quad Bar is a perfect place to meet fellow cinephiles and argue about great cinema over a glass of great wine or beer. Ticket prices are $16 for general admission, $13 for seniors (62 and over), federally disabled (with ID), and children (5-11). No children under 5 are admitted.
