The Prospector Theater is a non-profit movie theater located in Ridgefield, Connecticut. The theater was built in 2013 on the original site of the Ridgefield Playhouse and opened on November 20, 2014. The theater has four screens and operates as an independent first-run cinema. The Prospector Theater is dedicated to providing competitive and inclusive employment to people with disabilities. The employees of the theater, referred to as Prospects, are encouraged to sparkle, shine, and transform their passions into professions. The theater also has a band called The Prospector Band which released their second album titled “Made for Greatness.”
