The drive-in has a capacity for 454 cars and provides audio via FM radio, though some original pole speakers still remain as historic features.
After closing in 2013, the venue found new life under the ownership of local families in 2024, undergoing extensive renovations to restore its vintage aesthetic while adding modern amenities like a 35,000 lumen laser projector and a full-service concession stand.
The Moonlite operates seasonally, typically from Thursday through Saturday, offering a mix of new release and classic double-feature films. Beyond movies, the venue functions as a community gathering space, hosting a variety of events including live music, theater performances (in partnership with the Barter Theatre), car shows, and family-friendly activities.
