The Cinémathèque québécoise, located at 335 Boulevard de Maisonneuve East in Montreal, is dedicated to preserving and showcasing Quebec and Canadian cinema, as well as international animated films. Its mission encompasses acquiring, documenting, and safeguarding cinematic, television, and audiovisual heritage, while also presenting these works to the public to promote the art of filmmaking in all its forms. Annually, the Cinémathèque hosts over 1,500 film and video screenings from various eras and countries, complemented by free exhibitions on cinema, television, and video themes. The venue is accessible via the Berri-UQAM Metro station, St-Denis exit, and offers facilities accommodating individuals with mobility challenges.
