The Circle Theatre, located at 19 Victoria Street East in Alliston, Ontario, is a historic single-screen cinema that has been a cornerstone of the community since its construction in 1938 by Oliver Stewart. Notably, it was the first building in Alliston to feature air conditioning, offering patrons a comfortable movie-going experience. The theatre has undergone several ownership changes over the decades, including a period of closure in October 2011 following the passing of then-owner Scott MacDonald. It was revitalized and reopened in November 2012 under the stewardship of Peter and Kate Vander Zaag. Today, the Circle Theatre continues to screen a variety of films, maintaining its charm and significance as a cultural hub in Alliston.
