114 S. Cedar Street, Manistique, MI 49854, USA
Cedar Street Cinemas is a charming twin-screen theater originally built in 1972. With a seating capacity of around 408 across two auditoriums, it remains one of the region’s few remaining local cinemas. After closing in August 2014, the theater reopened in October 2015, only to close again before reopening once more in April 2016, under new ownership and with renewed community enthusiasm. Today, it shows first-run films, offering nightly screenings—including Sunday matinees—typically scheduled around 7:00 PM and 7:30 PM, with earlier afternoon showings on Sundays. The theater garners high praise from locals: it’s celebrated for its updated, well-kept facilities, a welcoming atmosphere, and the simple joy of enjoying fresh popcorn and big-screen movies in a community setting
