The theater is part of the Dipson Theatres chain, which has been in operation for over 85 years and operates seven theatres across New York and Pennsylvania. The theatre was previously operated as the Regal Niagara Falls by Regal Cinemas. When Dipson took over operations it renamed the location to “The Capitol Theatre” in honor of the original Capitol Theatre, which was opened in Niagara Falls in 1926 but was later closed and demolished, with a bank being built on the site. The new Capitol Theatre offers reduced ticket prices compared to Regal’s standard admission rates.
